Speak Your Truth: Poetry for Courage and Change

Tracey O’Callaghan — The Queen of Sass - Word Poet

In partnership with Spirit of Woman, Tracey O’Callaghan brings her signature energy and insight to “Speak Your Truth: Poetry for Courage and Change” — a powerful school-based poetry workshop series designed to inspire young people to find their voice, share their stories, and express their truth through spoken word.

Tracey O’Callaghan, affectionately known as “The Queen of Sass,” is an accomplished spoken word poet, storyteller, performer, speaker, and poetry workshop presenter. She is also the self-published author of “Brains, Balls & Banter.”

Unapologetically proud of where she comes from — and fearless about where she’s headed — Tracey brings raw honesty, humour, and heart to every stage she graces. She has performed in five Spoken Word SA State Finals and twice represented South Australia at the National Poetry Slam at the Sydney Opera House.

Her powerful voice has been featured at Adelaide Writers’ Week (2022–2023) as part of “Hear Me Roar,” and at spoken word events across Adelaide and internationally. She has taken her words to stages in Dublin, Longford, and Limerick — giving Irish audiences a taste of Australian fire and authenticity.

Tracey’s workshops awaken creativity, challenge participants to write with courage and conviction, and encourage voices that refuse to be silenced. Step into her world — where poetry burns with truth, strength, and unapologetic passion.
